Welcome to the Artisans Group Family

A customer is not just the person who hires us for their project.  Instead, a "customer" is everyone who is involved in the project: our client, each of our building partners, suppliers craftspeople, and even, the building inspector.  This philosophy allows all stakeholders to support each other optimally, which makes for successful projects.

Thanks to each of you and welcome to everyone who recently joined our Artisans Group network…we couldn't do it without YOU!  We appreciate the opportunity to work with you.

The Perfect Winter Project

While winter weather keeps all but the heartiest among us from outdoor work,  this is the perfect time to begin planning that anticipated springtime project.

Depending on the project, some steps could extend the planning and preparation phase into months, so it's best to start planning now.

  1. Preliminary design;

  2. Finding an architect and a builder or remodeler who chime with you and your vision;

  3. Getting through your Building, Health, Engineering, and Zoning departments, and additional authorities in some cases, and

  4. Any special order items.

Call now so that we can help get your project on the right track and make most unforeseen delays foreseen.

Let us help you to upgrade your living spaces to be your home at its best

We specialize in historic restoration, structural work, and repairing insect and water damage. In addition, we love constructive reuse, "green" projects, custom carpentry, and other special solutions. We serve home and business owners from Bucks County, PA, and in the counties of Central New Jersey.  Here are just a few ways we can help:

- Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

GREEN TIP OF THE MONTH

Cleaner Soap - Consider switching from a petroleum based detergent to a vegetable based detergent. This helps reduce the amount of unnecessary chemicals released in to the ecosystem.

YES! NOW is a good time to invest in your Home or Business

Picking the right time to complete a project can be difficult.

One of the most important factors to consider is getting the best return on your investment. With the considerable decline in the price of oil, the costs of many building products are falling.

Additionally, because there’s a decline in demand for building activities, we are also seeing some declines in prices of material.  This means that now, because our costs are lower, those savings can be passed on to you without sacrificing any of the excellence, craftsmanship and attention to detail that we are known for. This means that your investment has a higher return!

There are also plenty other of financial incentives for those who act now. Tax credits, “go green” incentives, and lower heating and cooling costs, are all good reasons for you to look into "green" projects.  We have even seen commercial tenants make improvements that increased business and went right to their bottom line.

Then, there’s always the reward of pride, enjoyment, and more value in your residence or business.  There is unfortunately no way to know how long these lower construction costs will continue.

REFER YOUR FRIENDS, FAMILY, & BUSINESS COLLEAGUES...AND GET A $25 GIFT CARD

Many of our customers “find” us as a result of word of mouth. This simple, yet gracious, act by our customers has allowed us to be successful, and we offer our gratitude and a token of our appreciation for this generosity through our Referral Reward Program!

Here's how:

1. Simply refer someone to our services by phone, website, email or by forwarding this newsletter to them.

2. When your referral signs a contract for their project, we'll automatically mail you a $25 Artisans Group gift card for a purchase from a number of local merchants.

Offering you this reward is part of our way of saying, "We appreciate the faith that you have in us and our building partners."  Please remember to tell your friends and colleagues to mention your name when they call or write to us!

Q – I was considering buying my father the iRobot gutter cleaner. Right now he climbs up on a ladder and does the job by hand. Do you know if this gadget will make the job safer for my father?

- Penny Griffen

A – Penny, I’ve seen these things in action and I wish I could tell you that it would make this job safer for your father but the simple truth of the matter is that it will not.

I am a big fan of iRobots vacuums, but the gutter cleaner…not so much. It requires constant supervision and attention, can get stuck even in light debris, and therefore requires several trips up and down the ladder.

Our building partners and I believe that no homeowner should be working on a ladder in this manner. Being in this business, I can tell you that a single mistake can result in life-long injuries or even worse. The best thing to do is to have the gutters cleaned by a professional who has the daily experience working under those conditions and is properly insured, or install a maintenance free product.  Remember to do your homework because even a "simple" product like a gutter cover can cause problem if installed improperly.
